Peanut Farm — Arugam Bay Intermediate Point Break

Another short ride from Arugam Bay, Peanut Farm is a right-hand point break named for the peanut fields behind the beach. Cleaner, longer, and usually less crowded than Main Point — a favourite of surfers who've done one Arugam trip already.

Season: May to September.

The wave: A walled-up right that runs for 100–150 metres on a good day. Works best on mid-to-high tide with a head-high swell.

Where to stay: Mostly day-trippers from Arugam, though a few camps sit behind the beach for those who want to walk to the lineup.
